Japanese Genius

Apparently, the debate is not a hot topic so, moving on, I have recently discovered a source of humor that has thus far remained untapped in my little world. As it turns out, the Japanese have a rare sense of fun and adventure, and youtube has a plethora of hilarious examples of their ultra-creative and quirky game shows. This clip, one of my favorites, is from the ever popular show, "Silent Library." The premise of the show is this: several guys have a set of unpleasant but funny tasks that must be completed by the guy who draws the short stick. To make it even more interesting, the show is set in a library so the contestants must perform their feats in silence. Added entertainment comes from the translations. I find "hitted hip" to be a particularly poignant description. Take a look and prepare to be amused.

That old man bites gently thing gives me the heebies. Not sure about the karaoke -- maybe it's their rolling-the-credits tradition or something.
